FAQ

Hiring a dog trainer can be daunting. Whether you want personalised puppy classes, to stop resource guarding or learn how to help your dog walk on a lead, you want to make the right choice. To make things a little easier, here are some common questions about the Much Ado About Dogs process (along with some hopefully helpful answers).

How do I make payments?

  • Typically via bank transfer - full payment details are on the invoice

  • Full payment is typically due within 14 days of the invoice being issued.

Where are your sessions held?

  • Hour-long face-to-face consultations will be held at the most suitable location depending on the situation.

  • Residential and intensive training sessions are held at our HQ in Didcot

  • The exact location will always be confirmed upon booking.

What areas do you cover?

  • We are based in Didcot but our face-to-face consultations cover a pretty wide geography including Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire.  In some instances, a contribution to travel costs may be added to the consultation fee.

  • Our online sessions are open to anyone in the world and we have clients in Continental Europe and the US!

What happens next?

  • The first step is typically a short video call consultation.  This is free and is an opportunity for me to assess the situation and make a more informed training plan. You can book these directly via the website

  • Some paid services e.g. Socialisation Masterclass can also be booked directly

What is your cancellation policy?

  • We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all consultations and training sessions.  For full details on our cancellation policy, please see our Terms & Conditions.

What are your qualifications?

  • I have been training dogs for over 7 years and founded Much Ado About Dogs in 2022.

  • I am accredited by Will Atherton - one of the UK's most famous dog trainers.

  • I believe in continuous professional development and in the past 2-years, I have attended seminars by top trainers such as Tom Davis, Larry Krohn and Ben Marsh.

  • Currently, there is no official UK national dog training qualification.

What if my dog is injured during training

  • In this unlikely event, I am a qualified dog first-aider and can manage minor trauma until professional veterinary help can be reached.

  • We are also a fully insured business.
